Dear friends,

The last few years have been a real adventure for me…. Transitioning from a career in law and finance to becoming a commercial fisherman has been quite an experience.  I have tried hard to share some of those with you and most importantly, show you the extraordinary culture, history and cuisine of Taiwan’s many fishing ports.  Through this process I have also had the opportunity to learn so much about the fishing industry in Taiwan and had the opportunity to meet many amazing fisherman!  Many of them have appeared in my show, and I now count them as my true friends.  There is no doubt that there is a special camaraderie amongst fishermen - it is a realization that once you are on the open ocean, we are all the same in front of nature. Anything can happen and we need to rely on each other! This fisherman’s code is as old as time and can even be found engraved in centuries old stone tablets in Taiwan, reminding all to help each other at sea.

For those of you who have become viewers of my show, I want to thank you:  I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoy filming these programs!  I will continue to do my best to bring you interesting and entertaining content in future episodes!  There is still a lot more to see!
